Whether you are a beginner or seasoned shooter looking for a refresher, we are designed to give you a solid base to stand on; learning the functions/controls of your camera and honing your photographic thought process. There will be instruction, homework assignments and image reviews. it takes new photographers from the basics of learning their camera buttons to being able to discuss things like shutter speed, aperture, and depth of field. The series is six weeks long, one class per week, with homework assignments each time. Each class covers a basic topic in photography: The Camera, Exposure, Light, Flash, Focus, Composition, and Sharing Photos. We will offer classes, workshops, photo walks, day trips, photo adventures, and lectures that appeal to photographers of all skill and interest levels.

This One Week Digital Photography Boot Camp is the perfect introduction to street and studio photography when precious summer, vacation and extended weekend time is limited. From day one, students will have a camera in hand, completing a variety of photography projects in the studio and on the street. Shortly thereafter, students will move to the computer to learn the basics of photo retouching in Adobe Lightroom and to build a professional on-line portfolio of their work.
Everything starts with mentality and training yourself to see the world as if it's a photo waiting to be captured. We are going to discuss the mentality of photographers and what goes into making great photos. What you take away from our Boot Camp will help you on the path to capturing the images you have always envisioned. Understanding exposure and the exposure triangle is equally as important as a photographers mentality. We will break down each part of the triangle from Shutter Speed to Aperture to ISO and show you their importance and impact on each other. We have a very exciting demonstration planned, which will allow you to see the triangle at work.
